We both grew up with siblings and we plan to have at least two kids (although Chris secretly hopes for four). We have many great memories of our lives at home and of family trips. We both think one of the most important things a family can do is spend time together.
With three nephews and a niece, we enjoy having our families visit and filling our house with laughter and fun. Because they are so close, we spend almost every holiday with them - either at home or in Southern California near the beach and Disneyland. We get together as often as possible with our families – whether it’s a weekend together or just an afternoon BBQ or a day at the park. With Brian’s family in Southern California, we travel down there several times a year and his parents and brother’s family visit us as well.
In addition to both of our birth families, we also have a large “chosen family” – those close friends that we spend a lot of our free time with and who are always supportive and caring. We have developed a wonderful group of friends over the years and many of them also have children or have children on the way. We consider these close friends to be our extended family and our kids can certainly look forward to having a large group of aunts, uncles and cousins.
We enjoy spending time with all the kids we love and we look forward to creating a safe, nurturing environment for our children. Every child needs a loving and stable home to grow and learn and become successful in whatever they are interested in - we are thrilled to open our hearts and our lives to a child and we have a great deal of confidence in our ability to be good parents.
