I was born in San Francisco on March 12, 1977 and I have spent most of my 30 years here in the Bay Area. I am the oldest of three kids and I have two younger sisters. Growing up, my family usually spent our summers visiting the beaches in Santa Cruz or camping in Yosemite. I have always loved the outdoors and I especially love being near water – whether it’s boogie boarding at the beach or camping near a lake and wakeboarding and waterskiing.
Both my grandfather and my father served as enlisted men in the U.S Navy and I decided to attend college at the California Maritime Academy – a four year college which prepares military officers as well as civilian ships officers. I graduated in 1999 with a degree in business and a license to work on ships. My very first job out of college was as an officer on the bridge of a huge oil tanker in the Middle East. My job was to make sure the ship was where it was supposed to be and I was in command of the ship for eight hours every day.
I found life at sea to be lonely and I often missed Brian and our lives back home. I decided to find a new career and I realized a true passion for real estate. I love working on homes and Brian and I have been buying and fixing up houses for the last few years. I never knew I had the talent but over the years, I have become good at things like tiling bathrooms, building decks, and remodeling houses. I now work for a company in San Francisco and I manage renovations on commercial properties such as banks and coffee shops. My job is home based and I am able to work from home regularly.
My two younger sisters, Debbie and Jennie, live very close to us with their families. We have two energetic nephews, Sam and Zack, and an adorable niece, Abbie. My parents also live nearby and they are delighted to have grandkids.
